February 17, 2025
Adrigole will take on Castletownbere in the Beara Under 21 Final this Sunday February 23rd. The game will have a 1.30pm throw in time in Cahermore.
Adrigole will be hosting their medal presentation evening for 2024 on Friday night February 28th in the Caha Centre, where medals will be presented to both juvenile and adult teams.
Well done to everyone who took part in the Irish Life Every Step Counts challenge 2025 for the last 6 weeks. Adrigole finished 25th in Munster with a total of 13,436km covered. The top 3 people for Adrigole were Brian O’ Sullivan on 613km, Mary O’ Sullivan on 593km and Susan O’ Sullivan on 587km.
The last few days have seen the sad passing of 2 members of the Adrigole team that won the Beara Championship in 1961, defeating Garnish in the final 1-4 to 0-3. This was the first time since 1938 that Adrigole had won the Beara Junior Football Championship. Sean O' Sullivan died in London, and was goalkeeper on the team in 1961, and was joined by his brother Tadgh (club vice-president) in winning a Beara medal. Adrigole GAA would like to offer our sympathies to the O' Sullivan and Harrington families. Saturday saw the passing in Dublin of Barry O' Reilly who won a Beara Championship medal in 1961 with Adrigole. Adrigole GAA would like to offer sympathies to the O' Reilly family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.
