A large crowd gathered in the Caha Centre in Adrigole last Friday, as Adrigole GAA held their annual medal for presentation for the 2024 year. From Under 6’s to the Intermediate team, presentations were made across all ages. Club President Kevin Jer O’ Sullivan was on hand to present the medals. Adrigole had a very successful 2024 on the playing year. At adult level Adrigole won the Beara Under 21 Championship. The Junior B team won the Beara Junior B Championship for the first time since 2014. This competition has extra significance for the Adrigole club, as the cup is named after former Adrigole player Donal Jim O’ Sullivan. The Intermediate team won the Division 5 county league and as a result will play in Division 4 in 2025. Presentations were also made during the night to the management of the Under 21, Junior B and Intermediate teams.

Adrigole made the long trip last Sunday to the 4G pitch in Supervalu Pairc Ui Chaoimh to take on Buttevant in Round 1 of Division 4 of the county football league. At half time it was Buttevant who lead 1-5 to 0-6. In the second half Buttevant made to most of the Adrigole black card and it was the Avondhu men that emerged winners 1-17 to 0-11. Up next for Adrigole is a trip to Bantry for a round 2 game on Sunday March 16^th.

The Adrigole  / Urhan Under16 team took on Ilen Rovers on Sunday and emerged winners 4-16 to 2-5

Adrigole GAA are again participating in the Cork GAA Rebels Bounty draw. With a total prize fund of €500,000 Euro, there will be 12 monthly draws with 30 cash prizes each month including a first prize in December of €100,000. Sales will close for 2025 on Thursday March 27th, when the draws for January, February and March will take place, with 90 prizes including 3 first prizes of €20,000 will be won on the night. Anyone who purchases a club draw ticket and a Rebels bounty will be entered into a special club draw during the year. The Rebels Bounty (and previous to that, the Cork GAA county board clubs draw) has provided much needed finance to the club over the years. Anyone who purchases a Rebels Bounty ticket can avail of special membership rates.

Tickets for the Adrigole GAA monthly club draw are now on sale for 2025. Tickets are again €25 and with 12 monthly draws taking place along with a Christmas bonus draw. The draw, which started in GAA centenary year of 1984 has provided much needed funding to Adrigole GAA over the years in both the day to day running costs of the club, and the capital investment the clubs has made throughout the years in improving the facilities in the club.
